Born in London, Finn grew up in rural Norfolk & Somerset. Over the years he has lived and worked in San Francisco, Barcelona, Bruxelles and Andalusia. After studying Fine Art at Wolverhampton and Bristol he graduated First Class from his BA (Hons) in Illustration at University College Falmouth, Cornwall. At The Royal Collage of Art in London he studied with, amongst many others, Brian Eno, John Stezaker and Andrzej Klimowski receiving his MA in 2004.
As an illustrator he has an international profile and his exquisite draughtsmanship, warm harmonic tones and balanced composition has led to his work being compared to the Golden Age illustrators. His interests and research into aesthetic and academic theory over the full spectrum of culture gives Finn a unique grasp of contemporary artistic practice. He has thus consulted on and contributed his expertise on various subjects to documentaries, academic courses, articles and publications worldwide.
